Age Suitability

The rating

App Store age ratings are computed from a standard questionnaire that Apple asks every developer to complete. Ninekeep answers each item at its lowest level, which Apple computes to 4+ — the rating reserved for apps that contain no objectionable material and are appropriate for all ages.

4+ is a statement about content, not difficulty. Ninekeep offers four difficulty tiers up through Expert, but the experience — cream numerals on an ink board, a quiet keypad, a patient ledger — carries nothing an adult would want to keep from a child.

Content descriptors

Every content category in Apple's questionnaire is answered None. Nothing in Ninekeep raises the rating above 4+.

The daily puzzle is a puzzle — not a contest and not a gambling mechanic. There is no wagering, no prize, and no real-money stake anywhere in the app.

Interactivity & data

• No communication. Ninekeep has no chat, no messaging, no comments, and no user-generated content. There is nothing another player can send you.
• No open web. The only outbound links are the Support and Privacy pages, which open in Safari — never an in-app browser. There is no unrestricted web access inside the app.
• No location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone. The app requests none of these permissions.
• No data collection. Velcairn runs no accounts, analytics, or profiling. Game progress is stored on your device with Apple's standard settings storage. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.

For parents

Ninekeep is a quiet, single-player logic puzzle with nothing to buy that affects play, no ads during solving, no leaderboards, and no way for strangers to reach a player. Every solving aid — notes, hints, mistake-limit Challenge mode — is free and optional; none is gated behind a purchase.

It is designed as a general-audience app, so it is not enrolled in Apple's Kids Category, but its 4+ rating reflects that it is appropriate for children as well as adults. If you use Screen Time or Content & Privacy Restrictions on your child's device, Ninekeep's 4+ rating means it remains available at the most permissive age setting.
